What ASB Looks Like Today

Over the years, the Boston University Alternative Service Breaks program has grown to stretch to all corners of the United States and encompass many different focus areas. This year, ASB 2017 is crossing the border to Montreal, Canada, more robustly developing our programming to reflect our commitment to social justice, and ensuring ASB is the best it can be by continuing to partner with our older contacts and branching out with new community partners.

With two program managers, three committee chairs, over 60 trip coordinators, and nearly 350 volunteers, the ASB family is large and committed to learning, experiencing, and reflecting together.

If you would like to join our ASB family, please consider applying for one of our open leadership positions. Applications for chair, chaperone, and coordinator can be found under the Leadership Tab.

If you are a parent or friend of ASB, please consider hosting a group of students for an overnight stay, a meal, or a fun activity in one of our destination cities. Find out more information by exploring the Donate page.

If you are a Community Partner interested in hosting students from Boston University, please contact Albert and Gabriella at altbreak@bu.edu or via phone at 617-353-4710.
